New Songs Added - 10/31/07

Changed up and added some new songs. Mostly Idol songs, but a couple of other interesting picks too. First, I switched out Constantine's "Fading Into You" for "Midnight Radio." Then I decided to add the new singles, "One Word" by Elliott Yamin and "It's Good To Be Us" by Bucky Covington. I added "Witness" from Bo Bice's new album "See The Light." You will also hear "To Be With You" from Nikki McKibbin's new album "Nikki McKibbin: Unleashed", "Can't Stop The Rain" by Sarah Mather, "The Right Place" by Taylor Hicks, "Only Love" by George Huff and "Be Still" by Kelly Clarkson.

There is an intriguing new album by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss called "Raising Sand" and I chose to feature the track "Killing The Blues."
The material, ingeniously chosen by Burnett with input from Plant and Krauss, is the crucial thread that guides Raising Sand and gives the two unique singers a forum to interact and equally express themselves. The songs range from modern to classic, consisting mostly of lesser-known material from a wide spectrum of great blues, R&B, country, and folk songwriters – Tom Waits, Gene Clark, Little Milton Campbell, Mel Tillis, Townes Van Zandt, Doc Watson, Phil and Don Everly among them. They also recorded the Robert Plant/Jimmy Page song “Please Read the Letter,” from the 1998 album Walking Into Clarksdale. “You’ve got two singers that can handle a wide range of material – storytellers,” explains Burnett. “So you look for the stories….” read more here...
I have also added the song "You Give Me Something" by the UK artist, James Morrison.

I have added quite a few songs this week. You will be hearing some new music like Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston, Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T's, Love Song by Sara Bareilles, Mr. Bellamy by Paul McCartney, Shake It by Metro Station, Car Crash by Matt Nathanson, Rehab by Amy Winehouse and the smash hit Bubbly by Colbie Caillat.

By popular request I have added Everybody Loves and Fading Into You by Constantine Maroulis. Other new releases by Idol alumni added this week are God Speaking by Mandisa, Tattoo by Jordin Sparks and So Small by Carrie Underwood. Also added are Dream Myself Awake by Taylor Hicks and Love Story by Katharine McPhee.

In addition to adding Storms In Africa by Enya and Holding Back the Years by Simply Red, I realized that I had three different versions of the song "A Song For You." I thought it was intriguing that they all are the same song, but each is unique. So I have also added all three versions by Mick Hucknall, Elliott Yamin and Michael Bublé. After listening to all three versions, how about taking my poll there to the right and let me know which one you prefer.
